I’m Mridu Jain — jewelry designer, educator, and the creative mind behind CHIYO.
A proud NIFT graduate, my journey has taken me through different facets of the design world — from refining craftsmanship at STS Thai Gems in Bangkok, to designing at Amrapali Jewels in Jaipur, freelancing across jewelry and graphic design, and mentoring future creators at the Indian Institute of Gem & Jewelry.
Over the last 15 years, I’ve worn many hats — designer, mentor, creator, and lifelong learner — but everything has always revolved around one belief: Good design has the power to tell stories, spark confidence, and create connection.

Eventually, I realised my greatest joy wasn’t just creating jewelry — it was helping others discover their own creative voice. That’s how CHIYO came to life.
CHIYO began as a space for thoughtful, handcrafted jewelry and gradually evolved into something more — a place where design, learning, and creativity come together.
Today, alongside creating meaningful jewelry pieces, I mentor aspiring designers and teach jewelry lovers how to turn ideas into tangible creations — from inspiration and sketching to digital design and final expression, often using one of my favourite creative tools: Procreate.
What started with designing jewelry has grown into building creative confidence.

Through CHIYO, I now bring together design practice, education, and mentorship — helping people not only create beautiful pieces, but learn how to think, observe, and design with intention.
